Abstract：Cinnamomum cassia is the dried bark of Cinnamomum cassia Presl,family Camphoraceae,and is a Chinese herb with important medicinal value.Its chemical composition mainly contains volatile oils,polysaccharides,polyphenols,fla-vonoids,inorganic elements and other components,research has found that it has therapeutic effects in the immune system,endocrine,cardiovascular and central nervous system,with anti-inflammatory,anti-bacterial,anti-tumor,antioxidant,hypo-glycemic,inhibition of tyrosinase activity,inhibit platelet aggregation,and improve the ability to learn and remember Alzhei-mer's disease,Sedation,anti-anxiety and antidepressant and other pharmacological effects.Based on the literature studies of cinnamon at home and abroad,the chemical composition and pharmacological effects of cinnamon are summarized,in order to provide theoretical basis and reference value for the further study of cinnamon's pharmacological composition and the re-search and development of its new medicinal value.
