Abstract：Ficus hirta Vahl is a popular medicinal and edible homologous plant in South China,which mainly contains volatile oil,flavonoids,coumarins,terpenoids,phenols and so on.Modern pharmacological investigations have demonstrated the anti-aging,gastric mucosa protection,myasthenia gravis treatment,and alleviation of non-alcoholic fatty liver effects of Ficus hirta Vahl.In order to serve as a reference for future study and sensible development of Ficus hirta Vahl,active components and extraction process of the herb were discussed in this paper.
