Abstract：The development of biomimetic nanoparticle drug delivery systems is an emerging field with enormous poten-tial for efficient drug delivery.High density lipoprotein(HDL),as a natural nanocarrier,possesses features such as high transport efficiency,high safety,specific targeting,and strong penetrabillity,making it a potential drug carrier.The research on HDL-based nanoparticle drug delivery systems is increasingly gaining attention.This article reviewed the biological basis of HDL,including its composition,structure,metabolism,and its current status of research and application as a drug carrier of reconstituted HDL.The aim of this article is to provide new ideas for the in-depth study of HDL as drug carrier materials.
