Clinical application of Gefitinib

Abstract：Gefitinib is an EGFR inhibitor.It is only effective in cancers with mutated and overactive EGFR.The CFDA approved gefitinib in 2005 for non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC).It was approved as monotherapy for the treatment of patients with locally advanced or metastatic NSCLC after failure of both platinum-based and docetaxel chemotherapies.On July 13,2015,FDA approved as a first-line treatment for NSCLC.The advancement of gefitinib in current clinic researches were reviewed in this article.
