Participation of clinical pharmacists in the empirical anti-infective therapy for a case of AECOPD with pulmonary infection

Abstract:Objective To investigate the significance of clinical pharmacists participate in the empirical anti-infective therapy for acute aggravating period of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (AECOPD).Methods Clinical pharmacists participated in one case of AECOPD with pulmonary infection and fungal infection,and provided suggestions and pharmaceutical cares during the empirical anti-infective therapy on the basis of the signs,auxiliary examination and disease condition.Results No serious ADR was found during therapy,the condition of patients gradually improved.Conclusion The participating of clinical pharmacists in clinical therapy can provide suggestions of pharmaceutical using and pharmaceutical care,promote rationality and safety of medication.
