Abstract：Ginger,the root of Zingiber officinale Rosc.,mainly contains volatile oil,gingerols and diarylheptanoids.6-gingerol is the main component of gingerols as well as the significant active component in Ginger.On the basis of literature study,this paper reviewed the progress of pharmacokinetics of 6-gingerol in the aspects of absorption,distribution,metabolism and excretion which aims to provide more key foundational data for clinical application.
