The effects of Xianlu Huogu Pills on avascular necrosis of the femoral head in rats

Abstract：Objective To investigate the effect of Xianlu Huogu Pills on avascular necrosis of the femoral head in rats. Methods The avascular necrosis of the femoral head model was induced by tretinoin,mice hot plate test,writhing test and blood rheology in rats were used to investigate and verify the effects of Xianlu Huogu Pills on avascular necrosis of the femo-ral head. Results Xianlu Huogu Pills can improve the bone mineral density level,animal blood rheology level obviously, increase the mouse hot plate experiment induced pain latency,increase of 0. 6% acetic acid writhing response latency,and reduce the number of writhing. Conclusion Xianlu Huogu Pills had remarkable protective effects on avascular necrosis of the femoral head model of rats.
