Research progress of the pathogenesis and treatment of Hashimoto's thyroiditis

Abstract：Hashimoto's thyroiditis is chronic autoimmune diseases with thyroid tissue as antigen,thyroglobulin antibody and thyroid peroxidase antibody as antibody. It is characterized by a large thyroid gland with diffuse lymphocytic and plasma cell infiltration,interstitial fibrosis,and eosinophilic degeneration of glandular atrophy and alveolar;The clinical manifesta-tions were characterized by decreased thyroid function. This paper reviewed progress of Hashimoto's thyroiditis treated by traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine routine treatment nearly a few years. It provided reference for the clinical prevention and treatment of Hashimoto's thyroiditis.
