The effect of Jianshen Lishui Granules on neurological impairment and neuron apoptosis in experimental intracerebral hemorrhage rats

Abstract：Objective To explore the effect of Jianshen Lishui Granules on the brain water content,neurological im-pairment,and neuron apoptosis in experimental intracerebral hemorrhage rats. Methods An ICH rat model was established by collagenase. Dry - wet method was used to measure the brain tissue water content for each group. Using the HE staining to observe the morphological changes and inflammatory responses in brain tissue around the hematoma and Tunel staining method to determine the apoptotic cells of the brain tissue around the hematoma to study the possible cerebral protection of Jianshen Lishui Granules. Results The neurological function score of model group was lower than the TCM group in 24 h;The brain water content and the positive cells of TCM group were less than that in the model group. In the model group and TCM group with the extension of time,expression increased gradually,and after ICH 3 d the expression of protein was the highest,and then gradually declined. The pathological changes in TCM group at each time point was better than model group. Conclusion Jianshen Lishui Granules had cerebral protection in intracerebral hemorrhage rats.
