Studies on the quality standard of Ganchuan Powder

Abstract：Objective To establish the quality standard for Ganchuan Powder. Methods Microscopical identification method was used to analyze the microscopical characteristics of rhubarb,cortex phellodendri and radix scutellariae. TLC was used to identify radix paeoniae and borneol. HPLC was used to determine rhubarb. Results The results of microscopic characteristics and TLC methods for Ganchuan Powder had good specificity. The linear range of emodin was 0. 812 8 ~8. 128 μg·mL - 1(r = 0. 999 5),the average recovery was 98. 57% and RSD was 1. 12%(n = 9). Conclusion The meth-od was reliable,with good reproducibility,and can be used for the quality control of Ganchuan Powder.
