Abstract：The main components of Hypericum japonicum are flavonoids,xanthones,and phloroglucinols. The researches had shown that Hypericum japonicum had hepatoprotective,anti -tumor,antibacterial,antiviral and antioxidant activities. This paper systematically summarized the advances in research on the chemical components,pharmacological effect and clin-ical use of Hypericum japonicum.
