Research progress of tumor targeting drug delivery technology based on mediation of CD44

Abstract：CD44 is a dind of trans-membrane single strand glycoprotein which is often over-expressed on the cell surface,espe-cially on various dinds of tumor cells. Therefore,CD44's over-expression may function as a target. The corresponding ligands can be modified with CD44 specifically in different ways and could be delivered to tumor cells by active targeting. The purpose of this review was to introduce CD44 and its receptor -mediated delivery system. The delivering patterns based on different carriers and resulting effects were focused particularly.
