Effect of 5F,an extract from Pteris semipinnata L. serum NO and cytoKine levels in zymosan A-induced peritonitis mice

Abstract：Objective To investigate the effect of 5F,an extract from Pteris semipinnata L. serum NO and cytokine levels in zymosan A-induced peritonitis mice. Methods After pretreatment with 50 and 100 mg·kg-1 5F solution for 3 d,mice were intraperitoneal injection of 50 mg·kg-1 zymosan to induce peritonitis. The release of nitric oxide was meas-ured by a Griess reagent system. The serum levels of IL-6,IL-10,TNF-αand MCP-1 were determined by flow cytome-try. Results Compared with model group,5F pretreatment could decrease the overproduction of NO,IL-6,IL-10,TNF-αand MCP-1(P﹤0. 05 or P﹤0. 01). Conclusion 5F could significantly reduce the serum level of NO,TNF- α,IL-6,IL-10 and MCP-1 in zymosan A-induced peritonitis mice.
