Abstract：Many researches in the establishment of the HPLC fingerprint of salvia miltiorrhiza and its preparations have been finished in recent years. In order to build the accurate fingerprints,the selection of reference should be paid more at-tention because it played an important role in establishing the HPLC fingerprints and identifying the peaks in the process of these tests. By using salvia miltiorrhiza,HPLC fingerprint and reference as keywords,about 40 references were retrieved in CNKI ,Wanfang and Elsevier databases. This paper reviewed the reference materials in the studies of HPLC fingerprint about salvia miltiorrhiza and its preparations in the past ten years,expected to provide some basic guides for the HPLC fingerprint standardized research in the future.
