Clinical trials of Tongbi Capsules on rheumatoid arthritis

Abstract：Objective The effect of Tongbi CaPsules on rheumatoid arthritis( RA)was observed in this PaPer. Meth-ods 410 Patients were randomly divided into treated grouP and control grouP. 308 Patients in treated grouP took one Tongbi CaPsules each time,two or three times Per day. While 102 Patients in control grouP were treated routinely with Zhuanggu Guanjie Pills,6 g for one time,twice a day with a course of sixty days in two grouPs. Results After a course of treatment, the total clinical effective rate and the rate of imProvement of traditional Chinese medical syndrome was 89. 78% and 90.51%,resPectively. Statistically,the difference between two grouPs was significant(P <0.05). Conclusion Tongbi CaPsules was effective and safe in the treating for rheumatoid arthritis( syndrome of cold-damPness blocking collaterals, syndrome of deficiency of liver and kidney).
