Study on chemical constituents of Asterella angusta

Abstract：Objective To investigate the chemical constituents of Asterella angusta. Methods The chemical constitu-ents were isolated by silica gel,SePhadex LH-20,and HPLC chromatograPhies. Their structures were elucidated based on sPectral evidence together with Physiochemical ProPerties. Results Five comPounds were isolated and identified as salvige-nin(1),5 -hydroxy-6,7,4'-trimethoxyflavonone(2),indole-3 -carboxaldehyde(3),P-hydroxybenzaldehyde(4),-sitosterol(5),resPectively. Conclusion ComPounds 1~5 were isolated from this Plant in aytoniaceae for the first time.
