Abstract:To address frequent strip steering deviation in the heating section of the annealing furnace during production of thin-gauge deep drawing steel on the 1 880 mm continuous annealing line, this study identified the root cause through multi-process collaboration:hidden wave defects on the operation side from the pickling-tandem rolling process.Contributing factors included weld passage triggering characteristics, inadequate width transition control, and mismatched furnace tension.Implementation of asymmetric rolling optimization, intelligent annealing control, and coordinated hot-rolled crown improvements reduced steering deviations to 5 occurrences per month and increased stable operating speed by 7.7%,providing an effective solution for similar lines..
