Research on Patent Competition Pattern of Smelting Reduction Process

Abstract：As a core technical route for non-blast furnace ironmaking,the smelting reduction process has become a key pathway for the green and low-carbon transformation of the metallurgical industry,owing to its advantages including short process flow,low emissions,and broad adaptability to raw materials and fuels.Taking global patents related to smelting reduction technology as the research subject,this paper systematically investigates the composition of core patents,the features of global patent layout,and typical licensing strategies in this technical field by integrating patent bibliometric analysis,core technology decomposition,and empirical case studies.The study reveals that global smelting reduction patents are highly concentrated,and mainstream technical branches such as COREX,FINEX and HIsmelt have formed competitive echelons.China,South Korea,Europe and the United States have become core competitive regions,while green low-carbon and intelligent technologies have emerged as hotspots for patent innovation.Patent licensing has shown a diversified development trend,and mechanisms for technological collaboration and benefit sharing have been gradually improving.
