Abstract:The method of determining the content of silicon dioxide by potentiometric titration of potassium fluosilicate precipitation was studied. The sample was dissolved in a muffle furnace with potassium hydroxide, converting the silicon in the sample into silicate.Due to the presence of excess potassium ions in the strongly acidic solution, the addition of fluoride would generate potassium fluosilicate precipitation. The solution was filtered and washed to obtain the precipitate. The precipitate was neutralized to neutrality, and boiled neutral water was added to hydrolyze the potassium fluosilicate.Phenolphthalein was used as the indicator, and the titration was carried out with sodium hydroxide standard solution to calculate the mass fraction of silicon dioxide.
