Abstract:In the industrial production of high-alumina bricks, continuous upgrades in kilns, raw material quality, and firing processes have made it a critical challenge to ensure that key performance indicators-such as refractoriness-under-load temperature and permanent linear change on reheating-meet the required standards while maintaining low costs.By optimizing the formulation, selecting reliable raw material suppliers to ensure stability of critical parameters during firing, and incorporating additives that facilitate a smooth sintering process and mitigate volume changes to promote solid-state sintering, this study adjusted the firing process by lowering the firing temperature and shortening the soaking time. The effects of varying firing temperatures and soaking times on high-temperature performance were investigated through trial productions. As a result,a low-temperature fired LZ-75 high-alumina brick that complies with national standards was successfully developed.
