Abstract：According to customer needs,non-quenched and tempered steel F42MnV round bar for engineering machinery shaft was produced trially,The product quality showed the O/H contents were comparatively low,the actual grain size was not less than 5 grade,the grain was comparatively finer and the size,microstructure,non-metallic inclusion,macrostructure,surface hardess,tensile property,impact property,decarbonization layer all met the requirements of customer agreement,the steel plant has possessed the capability to produce the F42MnV round bar for engineering machinery shaft.
