Control Measures of Terminal Sulfur Control in 100t Converter Smelting of Non-oriented Silicon Steel
ZHANG Qi
Abstract:This article introduces the control methods for terminal sulfur in the smelting of non-oriented silicon steel in a 100 t converter, through the following measures:Before the converter starts to smelt silicon steel, the furnace is washed with low-sulfur molten iron and scrap steel for 3 to 5 furnaces until the terminal sulfur content is below 0.006%.The sulfur content of the low-sulfur scrap steel used is less than 0.010%,and the sulfur content of the lime is below 0.02%.The flow rate of a single bottom-blowing gun in the converter is not less than 600 L/min.Before the steel is discharged,a slag stopper is used for front slag blocking. The steel tapping time is more than 3.5 minutes within 100 batches. The above measures are systematically controlled to achieve the goal of sulfur control.
