Research and Development of Fatigue-resistant Steel for Axle Shaft of Construction Machinery

Abstract：Fatigue resistance is the key index for testing the steel used in the shaft of construction machinery,but the application of steel is limited by the problems of high cost and complicated process flow.The fatigue resistant 30CrMnTi steel developed by Laiwu Branch of Shangang Co.,Ltd.can replace the quenched and tempered 20CrMnTi.Its static torsional strength K=2.13,torsional fatigue B50≥30×104 times,tensile strength≥1 470 MPa,nonmetallic inclusions A and B are not more than 1.5 grades,C and D are not more than 0.5 grades,and grain size is not less than 7 grades.All indexes meet the technical requirements of users.
