Abstract:In order to solve the problem of nitrogen increase in the refining process,small-grained limestone is added to the ladle slag layer in advance, and the CO2 bubbles generated by decomposition are used to form a sealed isolation layer to reduce nitrogen increase. After the implementation, the nitrogen addition rate of the LF refining process was reduced from the original average of 4.55×10-6 to 3.25×10-6,and the proportion of≤5×10-6 of nitrogen was increased from 88.3%to 95.0%,which achieved significant control effects, thereby reducing the cost per ton of steel and improving the quality of molten steel.
