The Effect of RH Refining Top Slag on the Cleanliness of High Grade Non Oriented Silicon Steel

Abstract：Based on FactSage 8.1 thermodynamic software and the analysis of the influence of the existing top slag composition on[S],the optimal composition scheme of RH top slag was proposed and verified by industrial tests.The analysis results show that the ideal top slag composition is CaO 50%-60%,SiO2 0%-15%,Al2O3 40%-50%.At the end of the refining process,the slag is close to the low melting point system,with CaO/Al2O3 is about 1.25.The results show that the ideal region can reduce T[O]by 7×10-6 and aluminum loss by 64×10-6,which is conducive to reducing the occurrence of hundred-nanometer inclusions.
