Development of On-line Quenching Technology for Thin-gauge High-strength Steel Plate for Construction Machinery

Abstract：By analyzing the technical problems in the process of thin specification high strength steel plate for construction machinery,and taking some measures,the on-line quenching process of 20-29 mm thickness steel plate has been successfully applied.Through the optimization of the rolling pass,the rolling plate shape was improved,the cooling uniformity was ensured by the ratio of upper to lower water of the cooling unit and the edge shielding optimization,and the head undercooling problem was solved by the optimization of the tracking position of the steel plate head,which created conditions for the improvement of the plate shape after water cooling.Through the optimization of the head-and-tail shielding parameters and the heat treatment tempering process,the uniformity of steel plate properties was ensured,and the short process production of thin steel plate was realized,and better economic and social benefits were obtained.
