Abstract:In this paper, the relationship between the elongation of low-alloy steel after fracture and the sample size has been studied by tensile tests, and the applicability to the standard GB/T 17600.1-1998 has been verified. The results show that the elongation of A50mm and A after fracture has an opposite trend with the change of thickness, the A50mm is more sensitive to changes in thickness. The conversion value based on the standard has some deviation from the measured value, which becomes larger with the increase of thickness. The influence of various factors on the elongation after fracture should be considered comprehensively when using the standard for conversion.
