Development and Production of Q355B Low Alloy High Strength Structural Steel

Abstract：According to the personalized requirements of a downstream user,the customized protocol standard product of Q355B low alloy high strength structural steel was developed and trial-produced for the first time by giving full play to the advantages of new equipment and new technology in Linyi Iron and Steel Investment Group Special Steel Co.,Ltd.The company has successfully developed and trial-produced customized Q355B low alloy high strength structural round steel by adopting BOF converter→LF refining furnace→RH vacuum degassing→CC continuous casting→ rolling process.After process tracking and product inspection,the process parameters meet the requirements.The physical test data show that the chemical composition,metallographic structure,inclusions,macrostructure,tensile properties,impact properties and surface hardness of the product meet the requirements of the user agreement.At the same time,the content of oxygen,nitrogen and hydrogen is low,the purity of steel grade,austenite grain size is more than grade 5,the rolling steel is produced by high steel degree short stress rolling mill and KOCKS reducing sizing unit,the product size,shape and surface quality are high.
