Development and Trial Production of IF Steel with Rare Earth for Car Sheet

Abstract：By utilizing the mechanisms of grain boundary segregation and grain refinement with rare earth Ce, a kind of cold rolling IF steel with high strength and good resistance of secondary work brittleness was designed in this paper. Annealing temperature of the new steel is 850℃and the keep time is 50 minutes. This new type of steel has a favorable ductility and toughness, its strength of extension is more than 440 MPa, yield strength is relatively low. All the properties above can satisfy the development situation of automobile sheet steel.
