Research Progress of Brittle Fracture of High Carbon Steel Wire Rod

Abstract：The effects of elements (C, Si, P, S, O, H, Mn and Cr) and production process flow of brittle fracture of high carbon steel wire rod were introduced. The present research hot points were discussed, and some active measures were summarized in the production of high carbon steel wire rod. The further researches combined finite element simulation with experimental research methods can systematic research and analysis the brittle fracture of high carbon steel wire rod involved.
