Abstract:In this paper, quadratic regression orthogonal design is used, the synthetic converter slag’s melting temperature measurement is carried out in the laboratory, and then melting temperature regression equation is obtained, through this regression equation, various composition converter slag’s melting temperature can be calculated. All the compositions have influence on the converter slag’s melting temperature. With basicity increasing, the converter slag’s melting temperature increased. With Fe2O3 content increasing, the converter slag’s melting temperature decreased. With MgO content increasing, the converter slag’s melting temperature first decreased and then increased. With CaF2 content increasing, the converter slag’s melting temperature decreased. In the condition of hot metal pretreatment, basicity should be below 3, Fe2O3 content should not be below 30%, MgO content should be about 8%, complex flux is better than simplex flux, and neither of CaF2 content and Na2O content should not be below 10%.
