Application Practice of Melting Operation Mode of Combined Blowing Converter of 120 Tons

Abstract：In Yinshan former district, since the operation of 120 tons blowing converter, the control of smelting indexes are not ideal due to the fluctuations of raw material condition, the deviation of converter operating and other factors. Through analyzing the factors that influencing the converter operation, seven operating modes are formulated. They are“low temperature, low silicon; medium temperature, medium silicon;high temperature, high silicon;low temperature, high silicon;high temperature, low silicon;high ratio of raw iron and high ratio of hot metal”. After such modes bringing into service, the converter smelting indexes from the smelting period, the steel material consumption to the accuracy of the end carbon temperature are remarkably improved.
