Analysis on the Causes of Nonconformity in Ultrasonic Flaw Detection of X60 Steel Plate

Abstract：The samples from Nonconformity in Ultrasonic Flaw Detection of X60 steel plate was studied by means of Magnetic particle inspection and Metallurgical Microscopy etc. It has been proved that Micro-cracks and internal inclusions were the main causes of the echoes from defects. Through the technology improvement on refining measure controlling, stacking slow cooling to off line continuous casting slabs, the Conformity Ratio of Ultrasonic Flaw Detection has been improved.
