Practice of Fast Recovery Furnace Condition of Jinan Steel’s No.3 1 750 m3 BF after Banking

Abstract：Jinan Steel abandoned the traditional approach in banking of the No.3 1 750 m3 BF and made banking coke rate reduce 100 kg/t, at the same time, improved the raw material and fuel conditions and appropriately increased the hearth heat. The net coke was insured 20 t in tuyere zone, 90 t in the bosh and 70 t in slag zone. In blowing in, blowing with full tuyeres was adopted and the coke rate was rapidly reduced. Therefore, in the condition of banking for 66 h, after blowing in, the[Si]was reduced to below 1.0%in 12 h and PCI operation was began, achieving a rapid recovery of the furnace condition.
