Research on High-temperature Strength and Spalling Resistance of EPC Coatings

Abstract：In order to solve the problem of casting sand, the EPC coatings with different ratio were designed, and their high-temperature strength and spalling resistance were tested. The experimental results shown that:the more addition amount of sodium base bentonite and the less addition amount of CMC and organic binder the coating has, the higher the high-temperature strength of the test pieces are;the higher content of sodium base bentonite the coating has, the higher the spalling resistance of the coating are. And the 2.8% to 4% of dosage is suitable. When the additional amount of CMC content is 3.5%, better spalling resistance of the coating can be obtained.
