Application and Improvement of Hot Closed Treatment Technology of Converter Slag

Abstract：This article introduces the theory and application of steelmaking slag hot closed treatment technology. Combined with the practice, Luli Company designed three hot closed treatment pools depending on the slag amount. The slag treatment quantity of each pool is 120 t with treating time 12 h, taking turns in operation. The cooling water for closed pools was supplied by two-step water spray way using simple water supply system. The production practices showed that slag treatment cycle using hot closed treatment technology was shortened to 15 h; Electric energy was saved about 5 kW·h per ton slag; The cost steel was decreased by 0.36 Yuan per ton; Metal recovery rate was increased to 95%; and achieved the purposes of improving the environment and safe production at the same time.
