Analysis on the Nonconformity Causes in Ultrasonic Flaw Detection for S355k2 Steel Plate

Abstract：Through sampling from the ultrasonic inspection disqualified position of S355K2 steel plate, observing and analyzing via metalloscope, scanning electron microscope and energy dispersive spectrometer, we knew the major factor of flaw echo from tiny crack and/or bainite zone. For this reason, we adopted refining measure controlling, stacking slow cooling to off line continuous casting slabs, optimizing reheating time to cold slabs etc, guaranteed the yield, and the qualified rate of S355K2 steel plate raise 2%.
