Research on Tuyere Sampling in the Blast Furnace of Laiwu Steel

Abstract：Through tuyere sampling, the changes of the coke, alkali metal and slag component in the tuyere area of Laiwu Steel’s No.1 1 080 m3 were detected and analyzed in detail. The results showed that in BF scaffolding accretion operation, the coke in tuyere area cracks seriously, the permeability and liquid-penetration of the deadman get worse and the content of alkali metal is high; After getting rid of the nodulation, the average size of tuyere coke has a decrease trend with the increase of PCI ratio, and the coke size from the edge to centre of hearth reduces;The slag composition varies in tuyere area, and the slag alkali is lower in edge than that in centre.
