Abstract：The Ironmaking Plant of Laiwu Branch Company of Shandong Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. Adopted blasting system of“large blasting and high kinetic energy for active hearth”. Through adopting some measures included increasing top pressure, decreasing gas flow velocity, properly loosening sides, stabilizing gas stream, the average blasting kinetic energy was increased by 1 000 kg·m/s, strengthening resistance wave ability of BF and achieving the speed adjustment of production capacity. The well economics and technical indexes of fuel consumption of 520 kg/t, coke rate of 340 kg/t and coal rate of 180 kg/t were achieved.
