Abstract：The operation practice of rapid processing long-term fault damping-down in jinan steel’s 3 200 m3 BF was summed up. Through some measures including carefully organizing accident treating plan, strengthening the furnace body and damping-down operation management in cast house, reducing the load, improving the coke ratio, etc and by actively controlling blowing quantity, controlling furnace heat and slag system, processing the hearth, gradually increasing the hearth core temperature and so on, the furnace condition recovered to normal level of production after damping-down of 62 h 35 min and going through blasting operation of 36 h.
