Abstract：Using of field test and numerical simulation method, the stope structure parameters such as width of pillar ,width of chamber, thickness of ore deposit, which are regarded as whole or individual section,have a significant influence on thickness of roof limestone under the ultimate limit state .By compared technical and economic indexes of room and pillar method with those of filling method, according to the different thickness of limestone on ore body, the combined mining method of room-and-pillar method and filling method is used. It solves the safe mining problem of near-surface ore deposit and ensures to control the surface subsidence, and nearly 0.6 million tons of ore has been mined.
