Development and Application of Intelligence Argon Blowing Technology for 90t LF/VD Refining Ladlein Laiwu Steel

Abstract：The test results of inclusion behavior in refining process showed that blowing argon stirring can significantly reduce the inclusion quantity, decrease the inclusion concentration and increase the inclusion size. The intelligence argon blowing equipment for 90 t LF/VD refining ladle furnace in laiwu Steel was installed and the intelligent argon blowing standard was established, realizing the accurate control of argon flow. The content of inclusions in the rolled products was reduced. The product quality was improved. At the same time, power consumption and electrode consumption decreased by 27% and 14% respectively and the argon consumption reduced by 26%.
