Abstract：Sierra Leone ore is characterized by low-silicon, high-aluminum and worse softening dropping properties. Through the ore pretreatment and the rational ore matching of sintering burden structure, Sierra Leone ore proportion reached 25% under the conditions of the sinter quality performance is good. After using the sinter, Jinan Steel’s 1 750 m3 blast furnace kept stable operation with appropriate optimization operating system. The large-scale usage of Sierra Leone ore reduced the cost of per ton pig iron by 30 Yuan above.
