Application of plant polysaccharide hydrogel in the repair of diabetic foot ulcer

Abstract：The skin of diabetic foot ulcer(DFU)patients is prone to damage and difficult to heal,posing significant challenges in treatment.Hydrogels formed by cross-linking plant polysaccharides not only possess the biocompatibility and biodegradability of poly-saccharides,but also have the high water absorption and water retention capacity of hydrogels,and are expected to become green dress-ings for the treatment of DFU.This review systematically expounds the mechanism of action and application of plant polysaccharide hy-drogels to provid a research basis for the treatment of DFU.
