Abstract:Blood pressure monitoring plays an important role in the early prevention of cardiovascular diseases and in the evaluation of the effectiveness of surgical treatment. In order to investigate the relationship between arterial diameter and pressure,we used ultra-sound technology to design an ultrasound patch transducer with a thickness of 2 mm for blood pressure monitoring. The center frequency of the transducer was 10.4 MHz,the insertion loss was 6.3 dB.The data on the relationship between arterial diameter and pressure were obtained from porcine arteries ex vivo.Using the Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm,a kinetic model of arterial diameter was obtained to describe the relationship between arterial diameter and blood pressure. The results showed that the model had a small error, with an average absolute error of 2.2 mmHg,in the range of blood pressure less than 183.75 mmHg.This model is expected to be applied to hu-man blood pressure monitoring.
