Abstract:Psychology disorders are brain dysfunctions caused by a combination of intrinsic and extrinsic causative factors that dis-rupt the integrity of the brain's functioning and the individual's coordination with the external environment. Therefore, early identifica-tion of psychological disorders is of great significance.Presently employed methods for detecting psychology disorders, such as question-naires,clinical interviews, and patient self-reports,exhibit limitations including time lag and strong subjectivity. In contrast,physio-logical signals offer greater objectivity in identifying psychology disorders.Among these, electroencephalogram(EEG)signals are high-ly sensitive to localized changes in brain activity associated with psychological and emotional states.Due to their high temporal and spa-tial resolution,non-invasiveness,and real-time nature,EEG signals can be utilized for early detection of psychology disorders and regular assessment of psychological states. This paper comprehensively reviews research progress in utilizing EEG signals to detect de-pression,anxiety,autism spectrum disorder, schizophrenia, and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder,so as to provide reference for psychological disorders early intervention.
