Abstract:In order to control Staphylococcus aureus and reduce skin and soft tissue infections.Based on antimicrobial peptides UBI and porphyrin photosensitivities,we synthesized nano-photosensitizer UBI/PCN-224 that could target Staphylococcus aureus by solvo-thermal synthesis. The transmission electron microscopy, laser particle size analyzer, spectrometer were used to detect its morphological characterization and the effect of singlet oxygen production in light and dark environments. Then the nano-photosensitizer was mixed with Staphylococcus aureus for culture, and the targeted binding and bactericidal ability was observed by scanning electron microscopy. The results showed that the targeted nano-photosensitizer UBI/PCN-224 with a particle size of 80 nm was successfully prepared, which could combine with Staphylococcus aureus to form polymers with a diameter of more than 100 μm,and reactive oxygen compo-nents with bactericidal effect could be produced after 2 min under light. The nano-photosensitizer UBI/PCN-224 can be used as a no-vel targeted antibacterial agent in the treatment of drug-resistant bacterial infections.
