Abstract:To study the effects of L-carnitine on mitochondrial energy metabolism and antioxidative capacity in liver of NAFLD fatty liver.48 rats were randomly divided into control group, carnitine group, exercise group and L-carnitine+exercise group.Carnitine group and L-carnitine+exercise group were exercised for 6 weeks, carnitine and L-carnitine+exercise group were cared a carnitine once a day(500 mg/kg).After 6 weeks, the rats in each group were subjected to exhaustive exercise. The mitochondria were extracted from the liver immediately after anesthesia, and the activities of mitochondrial respiratory chain enzyme RCCI~IV and free radical metabolism were measured.Compared with control group, the RCCII of carnitine rat liver mitochondrial respiratory chain, the RCCI of sports training group, RCCIII, L-carnitine+exercise group RCCI, RCCII, RCCIII activity were significantly increased.Compared with carnitine group, L-carnitine+exercise group RCCI, RCCIII activity significantly increased.Compared with sport group, L-carnitine+exercise group RCCI activity significantly increased.Compared with control group, carnitine group, L-carnitine+exercise groups'' rat liver mitochondrial GSH-Px activity was significantly improved;compared with the control group, SOD activity, MDA levels of three groups were significantly increased.Compared with carnitine group, L-carnitine+exercise group significantly increased the activity of SOD;Compared with sport group, the GSH-Px activity significantly of L-carnitine+exercise group increased.L-carnitine supplement, sports, L-carnitine+exercise can improve the reap respiratory chain activity of nonalcoholic fatty liver in rats , increase mitochondrial energy metabolism rate and antioxidant capacity, supplement L-carnitine combined with exercise training group is more significant.
