Abstract:An improved high precision wearable ECG monitoring system was designed, which consisted of three parts: (1) ECG analog front end (AFE), (2) digital signal processing and micro-control circuits, (3) system software.Besides, several hardware/software filtering methods were taken to eliminate the baseline wander, skin contact noise and motion artifacts, furthermore, three flexible polypyrrole textile electrodes embedded into a sweatshirt were used to enhance comfort and conductivity. And a comparative study had also been carried out to show the performance and accuracy with two similar ECG apparatuses. The experimental results demonstrate that our ECG monitoring system can continuously and stably measure heart rate accurately for a long time, and can also be wireless transmitted data via bluetooth, which indicates it is an effective solution for continuously monitoring in the ubiquitous healthcare environment for preventing chronic heart disease.
