Abstract:Based on pulse wave transit time(PWTT), a small blood pressure monitor was designed, which without any restraint in measurement process.PWTT was extracted from the reflex photoplethysmography(PPG) and electrocardiogram(ECG), then the influences of heart rate, stroke volume and peripheral resistance to the blood pressure were considered, the blood pressure model was established by regression analysis, therefore the blood pressure measurement was realized.Blood pressure measurements were performed on 20 volunteers using a prototype machine, and the results of the conventional mercury sphygmomanometer were used as the standard, the results showed that the 95% consistency limit of systolic blood pressure was (-8.3,11.6), and the 95% consistency limit of diastolic blood pressure was (-9.9,12.7), indicating good correlation between the two methods. The blood pressure instrument is with small size,no restraint in the use,and the simultaneous measurement of systolic pressure and diastolic pressure is realized through a optimization approach for blood pressure measurement based on PWTT.
